Jenna is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Queen’s University of Charlotte. Jenna has seven years of experience working with children as a preschool teacher and continues to support students in her role as the Associate Preschool Counselor at the Atlanta Speech School.
Jenna has worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, grief/loss, divorce, life changes, fear, frustration, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), perfectionism, and executive functioning. Jenna leans towards cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy. She utilizes a strengths-based approach focusing on the individual and their positive abilities. Jenna believes that family involvement is essential for children and adolescents in therapy and encourages familial collaboration. While creating a safe, warm, and positive environment, she provides a controlled space for clients to practice learned skills and techniques. With a history in the theatre, she is outgoing, energetic, and creative. Jenna often utilizes her creativity in the form of art or movement activities.
