Jia is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Delaware State University in Biology. Jia is passionate about working with children and their families, as well as advocating for underrepresented groups. She believes it is imperative to nurture therapeutic relationships and create safe, compassionate spaces in diverse communities. Jia aims to be an accessible resource that helps destigmatize the therapeutic process and dismantle barriers faced by underserved communities. In her free time, she loves to create art, sew clothes, and frolic in nature, and would love to incorporate her interests in her work with children.

Jia utilizes modeling to help clients reframe, problem solve, and make decisions. Her current counseling interests include anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, increasing self-confidence and self-awareness, and grief and loss. Dedicated to life-long learning, Jia hopes to promote healing and growth in a unique, creative setting.
